What is RV Insurance?

RV Insurance provides coverage for recreational vehicles, such as (but not limited to) the following:

Recreational Vehicle Insurance Coverages

There are seven basic types of RV coverages. Some of which are required by law, while others are optional.

• Bodily Injury Liability: It covers injuries caused by the policyholder to someone else.
• Collision: It covers the damages to the RV resulting from a collision.
• Comprehensive: It covers the damages to RV due to theft and covered events other than collision.
• Contents Coverage: It covers the loss or damage of the contents of the RV. This coverage usually has a limit that shouldn’t be exceeded during a claim payout. Otherwise, you’ll have to pay for the excess.
• Medical Payments or Personal Injury Protection (PIP): It covers the expenses incurred for treating the injuries to the driver and the passengers of the RV.
• Uninsured Motorists Coverage: It covers the costs incurred in an accident involving an uninsured motorist or a hit-and-run driver.
