Tiles provide more than just a safe floor for certain areas of your house. They play a huge part in your home's interior design, establishing a mood that enhances the look and mood of the area.

There are numerous considerations when choosing a tile. What is it made of? Is the material stain-resistant? To help you explore these questions, the information below is the options you might want to consider when choosing a tile.
  1. Ceramic Tiles
These tiles are hygienic; they don't absorb odors or emit dangerous chemicals, conduct heat or electricity, bloat, or contract in extremely cold or hot temperatures.

Ceramic tiles are adaptable, durable, and easy to clean. They can be used in various places, including bathroom countertops, kitchen backsplashes, and floors.

  2. Porcelain Tiles
Porcelain tiles are made of clay fired at a higher temperature and have a higher silica-to-quartz ratio. They also cost more than ceramic tiles but are more durable and have great stain resistance. Porcelain tiles can be made in any design or finish, but they are more frost-resistant than ceramic tiles because they absorb water at a far lower rate.

  3. Glass Tiles
Glass tiles are more expensive than ceramic, but they are versatile. They have the highest level of stain resistance. That's why it works best on walls. Glass tiles can be set in the grout, used as a piece with mosaic tiles, or used as a backsplash above your kitchen counter.

  4. Marble Tiles
Marble is a high-end tile material that is more expensive than any ceramic tile. Tiles like this are tricky to install since marble breaks easily and requires specialized cutting tools. Marble is also softer than granite, that's why It is most often used in bathroom walls and flooring for tub decks, fireplace surrounds, and courtyards.

  5. Granite Tiles
Another natural rock tile used for flooring and countertop is granite. It is harder than marble and less likely to chip and crack. Granite is the finest option for wet areas or countertops since it is waterproof.

Level Up your Home
Various tiles available in the market vary in textures, specialty, materials, and use. It can be overwhelming and stressful at first, but once you witness the furnished products, you’ll be amazed at what these tiles can do to your interior.
